British Airways Lights Up The Skies With In-flight Christmas Festivities

In a heartwarming gesture, passengers recently travelling from Delhi to London via British Airways flight were welcomed with festive cheer on the occasion of Christmas 2024. A video of the celebration is circulating on social media depicting festive lights and music inside the plane after it arrives at Heathrow Airport.

Not just this, the UK’s Heathrow Airport also brought the magical atmosphere of Christmas to life, with an amazing twist that left all the passengers travelling from the airport smiling. On the eve of Christmas this year, the airport dropped a video on Instagram depicting the travel plans of the joyous and red-suited Santa Claus, Yes! You read that right.
The flight information display system (FIDS) indicated an unusual arrival of Santa, who was due to land in London at midnight from the North Pole. Along with him, the board also named his devoted reindeer, including Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph.
The video caption reads, “Santa is scheduled to arrive at Heathrow. Our Christmas day arrivals board is LIVE across terminals, marking Santa and his reindeer’s magical stop on their global journey. Keep an eye out if you’re at the airport and take a snapshot to spread the Christmas cheer."

The video went viral in no time, prompting several reactions from the users. An Instagram user lauded the authorities and wrote, “All airports should do the same. Good job Heathrow." Another one wrote, “Thank you for the magic! You are the best. The children were so happy to see it. I hope Santa came back to the North Pole safe and sound. MERRY CHRISTMAS."

To make Christmas extra special for the passengers, Heathrow Airport also organised a special performance by Britain’s Got Talent’s finalist musical band Northants Sings Out at the premises.
